Office 365 : Changing the regional settings in Office 365 [Solved]

Sometimes users in Office 365 do not have the correct language.

For example they see :

‘Inbox’, instead of ‘Postvak In’

‘Sent items’ instead of ‘Verzonden items’

You can change this for this user in the Office 365 Outlook Web-App console :

landinstellingen-Outlook-Web-App

Select options => change the language.

You also can check these settings in Powershell :

Checking the settings for 1 user:

Get-MailboxRegionalConfiguration <user> | fl

Checking the settings for alle users :

Get-Mailbox | Get-MailboxRegionalConfiguration

Change the settings to Dutch :

Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Identity <user> -Language nl-NL -DateFormat “d-M-yyyy” -timezone “W. Europe Standard Time” -timeformat “HH:mm” -LocalizeDefaultFolderName:$true

Change the settings to English :

Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Identity <user> -Language en-US -DateFormat “M/d/yyyy” -timezone “W. Europe Standard Time” -timeformat “HH:mm” -LocalizeDefaultFolderName:$true

Change the settings, for all users in the Office 365 portal to Dutch :

Get-mailbox -ResultSize unlimited | Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Language nl-NL -DateFormat “d-M-yyyy” -timezone “W. Europe Standard Time” -timeformat “HH:mm” -LocalizeDefaultFolderName:$true
