This week I had a customer, who needed to export data from a former employee.
Normally I run an eDiscovery search and export in Office 365 Security & Compliance Center.
When the search is completed, I download the results to a network location of the customer, and they can search the result later if necessary.
As of this time I received an error while downloading the search results.
This is due to changes to the default settings of Edge.
I will explain the steps below:
Problem:
Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files. Contact application vendor for assistance.
Solution:
In Edge open a new blank page
Goto : edge://flags/#edge-click-once
Select Enabled in the ClickOnce Support => Click Restart/Opnieuw opstarten TO REBOOT ONLY EDGE
All current pages, are again opened, after the reboot of Edge
After the reboot of Edge, ClickOnce support is Enabled.
As per Microsoft :
Note: Organizations can use Group Policy to disable ClickOnce support. To check if there is an organizational policy for ClickOnce support, go to edge://policy. The following screenshot shows that ClickOnce is enabled across the entire organization. If this policy value is set to false, you will need to contact an admin in your organization
You are now able to open the clickOnce
You can now install the ClickOnce tool
