Sometimes, an Office 365 migration results in some mailboxes in the wrong language.
You can bulk set the language and time zone for all users in Office 365 by using these Powershell scripts:
Dont, forget to connect to Office 365 first.
1 |
get-mailbox -ResultSize unlimited | Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Language -TimeZone |
In the Example below we will set all mailboxes in our Office 365 Tenant to the Language Dutch (NL) and the TimeZone to W. Europe Standard Time, and change all off the default folders
1 |
Get-mailbox -ResultSize unlimited | Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration -Language 1043 -TimeZone "W. Europe Standard Time" -LocalizeDefaultFolderName |
To change the language for one user :
1 |
Set-MailboxRegionalConfiguration User@domain.nl -LocalizeDefaultFolderName |
The Language ID is a number that corresponds to the correct language type.

Hi,
Will this apply for new mailbox automatically? or Is there any script we can run so that it will not ask to set time zone and region for users?
Thanks!SAT
This script only set the current mailboxes. New mailboxes you can create immediately the correct way ;)
Unfortunately, I get this error: Get-mailbox : The term ‘Get-mailbox’ is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable prog
ram. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
When i Get this error, you don’t have a connection to Office 365.
Try to logon :
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn975125.aspx
Will this eliminate task of user to set time zone for time
No time zone also must been set
